Gautam Shantilal Adani was born in 24 June 1962, he is one of the richest industrialist in India. He is a founder and chairman of the Adani Group, an Ahmedabad-based MNC.

Adani is additionally the President of the Adani Foundation, which is essentially driven by his better half, Priti Adani.

In March 2020, he contributed ₹100 crore to the PM Cares Fund through his group's philanthropy arm, to battle the Coronavirus pandemic.

As of February 2022, he is the second most richest man in Asia, behind Mukesh Ambani, with a total assets of US$91.4 billion as indicated by Forbes.

He is on the eleventh spot in the Forbes real time billionaires  people list as of February 19, 2022.

In May 2020, Adani won the world's biggest solar oriented bid by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) worth $6 billion.

Adani procured a 74% stake in Mumbai International Airport, India's second-most busiest airport, in September 2020.
