Singer KK, died on Tuesday, May 31, after performing in Kolkata. According to the preliminary autopsy report, the singer suffered a massive heart attack hours after the performance.

Kolkata Police released a detailed autopsy report on Saturday, June 4. According to sources, KK had had pain in his arms and was low on energy before the concert.

It is suggested that death occurred following the effects of hypoxia following Acute Cardiogenic Pulmonary Oedema, caused due to a pathological condition of heart, associated with subarachnoid haemorrhage.

Hypoxia occurs when enough oxygen is not available in the tissues. This can be caused by inadequate oxygen delivery to the tissues, due to low blood supply or low oxygen content in the blood.

The reason for the occurrence of Cardiogenic Pulmonary Oedema is usually congestive heart failure. This means that KK’s heart couldn’t pump out enough of the blood it was receiving from the lungs.

This results in increased pressure in the heart, leading to a heart attack. The pathological condition of KK’s heart was also a factor, says the autopsy report.

The police department will also give a final opinion after they get reports from the state FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) and the Department of Pathology.
