Akshay Kumar has once again been termed the highest taxpayer from the entertainment industry. The ‘Khiladi’ star has also received a ‘samman patra’ from the Income Tax department.

Akshay is currently shooting in the UK for his upcoming film with Tinu Desai. The honour certificate was received by his team on his behalf.

This has come as no surprise for him and his fans as the superstar have constantly been among the highest taxpayers of India over the last five years, a report in Pinkvilla stated.

On the work front, Akshay was last seen in ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ co-starring Manushi Chhillar. However, the film received mixed reviews and failed to attract the audience to the theatres.

Next, the Khiladi will have multiple releases in the coming months starting with ‘Raksha Bandhan’, followed by ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Selfie’. There's also ‘Oh My God 2’ in his pipeline.

Apart from these, he also has films like, ‘Soorarai Pottru remake, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Gorkha among others.

Akshay will be teaming up with producer Dinesh Vijan for the first time. The duo is collaborating on an action based thrilling drama, set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force.
