Veeta Singh lives in New Delhi with her father Tej Singh, who worked as a scientist at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Her mother is a PhD holder.
Vineeta Singh got engaged to her college mate Kaushik Mukherjee (who is Co-Founder of Sugar Cosmetics) on 15 October 2010, and they got married on 4 December 2011. Since she has the same life partner and business partner, Kaushik Mukherjee is the President and COO of Sugar Cosmetics. From the very beginning, Vinita was an intelligent and diligent student. Seeing her potential, her teachers also encouraged her to take up entrepreneurship. After she finished her studies, Vinita came to Mumbai. She received many job offers, but she turned all of them down, this was at just 23 years old. She knew that she was taking the biggest risk of her life by turning down such a lucrative job offer, so the decision was extremely difficult for Vinita, who was the youngest MBA graduate to turn down a job offer of Rs 1 crore. Despite this, Vinita did not change her mind.

Vinita founded Sugar Cosmetics with her husband Kaushik Mukherjee in the year 2012. Eventually, his decision to quit the job proved to be right and in the financial year 2019-20, this startup registered a huge revenue of 100 crores.
