In the history of women’s international cricket, Mithali Dorai Raj is the highest run-scorer in the history of the game. She is a right-handed middle-order batter and occasional right-arm leg-break bowler. Raj led India in both Test and one-day international cricket and is the captain of the women’s national cricket team.
Her run total in Women’s One Day Internationals surpassed the 7,000 run milestone, making her the leading run-scorer in women’s international cricket.

Mithali Raj started playing the game at the age of ten in her Tamil family in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Mithali’s father is Dorai Raj, an Indian Air Force Airman (Warrant Officer), and her mother is Leela Raj. Raj was born on 3 December 1982 into a Tamil family.
