Funding alert Bengaluru-based startup Mycaptain raises 3 million dollars in a Pre Series-A funding round led by Ankur Capital. My captain is an edtech startup that helps users to learn skills directly from industry experts and young professionals and helps them to discover new career options by mentoring them. My captain was founded by 3 friends Sammer Ramesh, Rush Naqash, and Mohammed Zeeshan. IPV, Firstpost ventures, IIM Calcutta Angles Network and Singapore Angle investors also took part in this funding round.

The platform offers 30 + beginner to Advanced courses be it from content writing, entrepreneurship to social media management and fashion designing. Reported that My captain has trained 150,000 students till now from Metro as well as small cities.

” We will use the funds raised to further scale our course offerings, acquire more users increase our revenue 4x, and expand our team,” said My captain CEO – Mohammed Zeeshan.

“In the framework of New age careers, there is a global drive to re-imagine how employment will be constituted. There are over 1.1 billion on-demand gig workers in the world, with India being one of the largest in terms of scope and growth of online freelancers “Ankur Capital co-founder and managing partner Rema Subramanian said.
