Coronavirus: PM Narendra Modi called the meeting

Coronavirus is spreading with a blink of an eye in our nation. PM Narendra Modi once again called a meeting to understand the situation of coronavirus in our country, the meeting held on Sunday at 4p.m. through video conference.

Today’s number of new covid cases has increased to 1 lakh 60 thousand which raised the count of active cases. According to Health ministry of India, after 224 days the daily tally of covid cases crossed 1,60,000. In last one day, 1,65,553 cases have been registered, now the total tally of India has over 5,90,611 active cases, this is the highest number of cases after 197 days. On the other side in the last 24 hours 327 people died because of corona.

Despite of taking various precautions by different states like night curfew, odd-even scheme for markets, weekend curfew, Omicron variant is still rampant and spreading as fast as termite. Till now, there are 3,623 registered omicron cases, including 552 cases registered today although 1,409 covid patients have recovered fully.

Mumbai registered highest number of omicron cases i.e. 1,009 next is Delhi with 513 cases, Karnataka with 441 cases, Rajasthan with 373 cases, Kerala with 333, Gujarat with 204 cases.
