Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor starred movie ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ was released in theatres on December 10. All the people who have missed this movie in theatres don’t you worry because it is released on OTT platform-‘Netflix’. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui has gained a lot of popularity due to its storyline and received enormous appreciation from their fans, audience definitely loved the duo of Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in this movie.
Twitter itself called Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui a must watch film, Netflix India wrote, “Verified Aashiqs are here to do Aashiqui and we’re all set to witness! Watch #ChandigarhKareAashiqui, now streaming on Netflix! @ayushmannk @_vaanikapoor_ @gattukapoor (sic)”on its official Instagram page. Apart from Ayushmann and Vani Kapoor, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui starred other actors like Kanwaljit Singh, Gautam Sharma, Yograj Singh, Gourav Sharma, Abhishek Bajaj, Aanjjan Srivastav, and others.
In one of the interviews, Vaani Kapoor, who is playing a trans person in the movie, mentioned, “We just wanted to normalise this and break stereotypes. There exists many perception, built over all these years, when we were growing up. The reference points we witnessed in movies and other shows, I think we don’t need to live by it today. That is a wrongful representation. A man dressed up in a woman’s saree is incorrect representation of a trans girl. They are as stunning, beautiful and ‘normal’ as any other girl.” She called the film “a conversation starter.”
Hrithik Roshan praised the film and wrote on Twitter, “Dear Gattu, #ChandigarhKareAashiqui film was your heart and goodness mixed with an impeccable sense of commercial entertainment. I cried and laughed and had goose flesh. What else does a movie need to do! Well done my buddy! Come, let’s celebrate.”
